A penny for your thoughts

Greetings everyone,

This time I bring you a post that depending on how it turns out will be made into a “Start of the weekend post” meaning it will be posted every Friday. This one is about what we do in order to keep ourselves grounded in this fast paced world we live in. Today as soon as I woke up couldn’t help but feel stressed. I knew there were a lot to be done in the day and not a lot of time to do so therefore I was procrastinating. After I headed out to face the day and had finished everything, I ended up feeling exhausted and completely drained of energy.

The feeling was so extreme, it took plenty of effort to even walk (Dragging my feet was more like it). I knew something had to be done but that something had to be more subtle and effective than a simple “nap” to re-charge my batteries so to speak. I decided to go and emerge myself in the beautiful bounty the universe offers called nature, right at the comfort of my own home. There is no other feeling like the one that is felt once you interact with such beauty; it is clearly a divine connection. Along with wonderful soothing music, a drink in hand (non-alcoholic by the way) and reciting my favorite mantra (breathe-believe-receive) this was clearly what the doctor ordered.

After an hour or so of continuous gazing at the wonderful sky, listening to the sounds of the birds and the trees, the wind in my face and countless of other wonderful things, I felt like a complete new person ready to take on the rest of the day like a warrior in battle. So I dare to ask, what do *you* do in order to release the stress caused by everyday life?

Shall we share a penny for *your* thoughts?

Brightest Blessings

Merry Meet Everyone!

My name is Israel Cruz (As if you didn’t figure that out on your own, haha) and I would like to welcome you to my new and hopefully very magickal blog.

I am 22 years old, a Medical Records/Medical Billing College graduate and I am also a writer. Not a published author as of yet but that will be coming soon enough, I can feel it ;). The reason as to why I decided to create this blog is very simple. There is many authors whom I admire and they all have their own blogs, I was advised by one of them to make a blog in order to let some of my creative steam out there for people to enjoy (Thank you!, you know who you are J) and here I am. My writing varies a lot depending on how I am feeling on a particular moment, I have written about love, lost and countless of movie, books and art-work reviews which I did as part of a pagan online publication I was volunteering for.

My passion have always been writing, being able to express myself through the written word have always fascinated me in so many levels. All through middle school, high school and even college I wrote short stories and once attempted to write a screen play with my little brother. Today, I have taken my writing to a new level; I am currently in the process of writing 2 pieces of work. One is a fiction book with magical elements and the other is a Non-fiction book about my spiritual journey. Whether these two pieces of work ever get published or not is beyond my control, however, I know that they must be written regardless of the circumstances afterwards. If they don’t get published professionally by a publishing house, I will be putting it online or on some other outlet where readers can get a hold of it and enjoy it for what it’s worth.

In this blog you will find entries about my writing process as a new author and everything in between, you will also see entries about my daily and magickal life (Which is always interesting no matter how simple) and you will also find my inspirations and all that sparks magick to my eyes. I hope that you enjoy my blog and post your comments on my posts; your opinion is always appreciated and welcomed. Thank you for reading and go out there into the world and make magick happen.

Love & Light
